The five new NRP 74 projects

To fill the gaps in the first call for proposals, a second, targeted call has been launched. Five projects have now been selected for additional funding and implementation.

Since the beginning of 2017, 29 research projects have been financed and implemented under the NRP 74 “Smarter Health Care” programme. To fill the gaps in the first call for proposals, a second, targeted call was launched in November 2017. Projects were sought in two specific areas:

  • Area 1: Care for patients with chronic conditions at home and in their social context.
  • Area 2: Health care policy and management to optimise the care for patients with chronic conditions.

28 full proposals were submitted. A total of four written scientific expertises was obtained for each proposal: two from external experts and two from members of the Steering Committee. The following five projects were selected:

Sabina De Geest, Universität Basel:

Heidi Kaspar, Careum Hochschule Gesundheit:

Joachim Marti, Université de Lausanne:

Lukas Schönenberger, Berner Fachhochschule:

Henk Verloo, HES-SO Valais-Wallis:
