“Smarter Health Care” initiative: Securing the achievements in the long term

During five years of intensive research and in exchange with the central actors in the health care system, the National Research Programme (NRP) 74 has laid the foundation for a strong health services research community. With the initiative "Smarter Health Care - Future Health Services Research Switzerland", this community will be continued and expanded. After the completion of NRP 74, it will find a new home under the umbrella of the "Swiss School of Public Health" (SSPH+). Together with the "Swiss Learning Health System" (SLHS), the Swiss Conference of Cantonal Health Directors (GDK), the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), the Swiss Health Observatory (Obsan), and the Swiss Personalized Health Network (SPHN), important nationally organized health care stakeholders remain on board to establish and expand reliable structures and processes for dialogue, research, teaching and training, and networking. We will report again on the further progress of the initiative.
